My July Favorites: The Things I’m Loving Right Now

July always seems to fly by, but this month was full of little things that made everyday life more fun, organized, and a whole lot easier. From summer activities and kitchen favorites to a new book, cozy workout essentials, and a few things that brought back some serious nostalgia, I rounded up the things I’ve been loving lately.

If you’re looking for a few new things to try, add to your summer routine, or simply want to see what has been getting plenty of use around here, here are my July Favorites!

Summer is the perfect time to get outside, and a basketball hoop is one of those things that can provide hours of entertainment.

Whether you’re playing an actual game, practicing shots, or just shooting hoops for fun, having a hoop at home is such a great way to get everyone outside and moving. It’s especially nice during those long summer evenings when nobody wants to come inside yet.

And let’s be honest—there’s always a little competition involved!

 Food Storage Containers

I’ve been loving having a good collection of food storage containers on hand. They’re perfect for prepping fruits and vegetables, organizing snacks, packing lunches, and keeping leftovers fresh.

I especially love containers that let me see what’s inside. It makes the refrigerator feel more organized and makes it much easier to grab something healthy when you’re hungry.

Summer produce has also been SO good lately, so these have been getting plenty of use.

A Great Pair of Black Leggings

A comfortable pair of black leggings is one of those wardrobe staples that never goes out of style.

They’re perfect for workouts, running errands, traveling, or simply throwing on with an oversized sweatshirt or tee. I love pieces that are comfortable enough to wear all day but still look put together.

These have definitely earned a spot in my summer rotation.

Protein Hot Cocoa

Yes, hot cocoa in July!

This protein hot cocoa has been a fun little treat when I want something warm and chocolatey. It’s an easy way to satisfy a sweet craving while adding a little extra protein to the day.

And if you’re someone who thinks hot chocolate is only for winter, I say there are no rules. 😉

 FLIP 7

If you haven’t played Flip 7 yet, add it to your summer game-night list!

It’s quick to learn, easy to bring along, and the kind of game that works for a variety of ages. It’s perfect for family nights, vacations, gatherings with friends, or those evenings when you want something fun to do without committing to a three-hour board game.

It’s definitely been one of those games that gets pulled out again and again.

 Dolly All the Time

I’ve also been enjoying Dolly All the Time by Annabel Monaghan.

There’s something about having a good book nearby during the summer. Whether you’re reading by the pool, sitting on the porch, or sneaking in a few pages before bed, summer feels like the perfect excuse to slow down and read.

If you’re looking for a fun addition to your summer reading list, this one caught my attention.

GrubEx

Not every favorite is glamorous!

Summer also means spending plenty of time working outside, and keeping the lawn looking its best is definitely on the list. GrubEx is one of those practical lawn-care products that comes in handy during the summer months.

Because apparently, maintaining a yard is a full-time job. 😂

My KitchenAid Mixer

This one is a classic favorite for a reason.

A KitchenAid stand mixer is one of those kitchen appliances that earns its counter space. From cookies and cakes to bread dough and frosting, it’s incredibly useful if you spend much time baking.

I especially love having a stand mixer when I’m making a recipe that requires several minutes of mixing. It does the work while I move on to the next step!

Camp Snap Cameras

One of my favorite things in this roundup has to be the Camp Snap cameras.

There is something so fun about taking pictures without the distractions that come with a phone. These little cameras have a nostalgic feel that makes you want to document the everyday moments—not just the perfectly posed ones.

Summer is also the perfect season for them. Road trips, family adventures, pool days, vacations, and random moments with friends all become opportunities to capture memories.

And sometimes the slightly imperfect photos end up being the ones you love the most. AND you can use code moderndad for a discount.

 A Fun Summer Tote

A big tote bag is basically a summer necessity.

Whether you’re heading to the pool, the beach, a park, or just running around town, there’s always something that needs to come along. I love a bag that’s roomy enough to hold all the extras without feeling like I’m carrying my entire house.

And a fun stripe makes it even better!

My July Favorites in One Place

July was a good reminder that favorites don’t always have to be big or expensive. Sometimes they’re the little things that make everyday life easier or more enjoyable—a game that gets everyone laughing, a comfortable pair of leggings, a good book, a kitchen tool you use constantly, or a camera that helps you capture memories.

These are the things I’ve been reaching for, using, playing with, reading, and enjoying this month, and I can’t wait to see what makes the list next month.

What have you been loving this summer? I’d love to hear your July favorites! There are always so many great recommendations to discover. 💙
