One of our favorite family traditions is going to a book store and selecting a book for the year. Everyone, kids, adults and grandparents each select one book for the year. It is fun to see the different genres, styles and selections from ages 3-75. I love including a book for each child at Christmas to help encourage reading and take the focus off of toys. Some of the books we read together and others they read on their own. It is a simple way to start a tradition that will become the favorite memory.
