We had the best weekend and week in New York! It was such a fun getaway and such a good reminder of how important it is to reconnect with your spouse. We always tell ourselves we want to take a couples trip once a year, and after missing last year, this trip felt extra special. It’s so important to spend time together as husband and wife, not just as mom and dad. We were lucky enough to turn one of my work trips into a little vacation by going a few days early. We spent our time shopping, eating amazing food, and seeing some incredible shows! And if you ever get the chance to see Whitney Leavitt in anything, do it, it was absolutely incredible!

Yes we go to New York to shop, but I also LOVE going and getting food in New York. Am I a foodie? No. Do I plan my whole trip around food? Also no. But I also love good food and these tacos are the best!
Your couples getaway doesn’t have to be big and expensive. Send the kids to the grandparents house for one night and order food and watch a movie you’ve been wanting to watch for forever. It’s so important to take time together. So plan the trip or the date night, get a sitter, and make sure you guys have a minute to yourselves!
