Emily always does such a great job decorating for every holiday, which we all love so much! St. Patrick’s Day can be so hard because things can get weird with leprechauns. But if you know Emily, she always finds the best, classiest, decorations for our house. Her favorite way to decorate for March is through rainbow decor. She will stack books, candles and vases in rainbow order. It is darling. I love how she can make everything cute!
When looking to decorate any part of your home, look first for a color scheme or theme. In our kitchen we have green and gold decor to celebrate the leprechaun/gold side of St. Patrick’s Day. In the front room we have items in rainbow order. This is one of my favorite mantels because it literally is a collection of found items from around the house. I gather books with colorful spines, organize them into piles and place them with the found items in rainbow order. It is the quickest way to brighten up any room and always makes me smile when I enter.
Don’t over complicate things! Keep it simple and you’ll slowly get the hang of it! I’ve been decorating my mantel for eight years now and boy have we come a long way!
