Who doesn’t love a good lettuce wrap?
Seriously.
There’s something about the combination of:
- Crunchy lettuce
- Savory meat
- Crisp veggies
- And that ridiculously good sauce
…that just works every single time.
I’ve tried a lot of different lettuce wrap recipes over the years, and this one officially takes the cake. It has the perfect balance of flavor and texture, and every single time I make it for friends or family, someone asks for the recipe before dinner is even over.
And honestly? I get it.
Why These Lettuce Wraps Are a Family Favorite

These aren’t the sad, bland lettuce wraps you order trying to “eat healthy.”
These are:
👉 Flavor-packed
👉 Crunchy
👉 Savory
👉 Filling
And somehow they still feel fresh and light at the same time.
The best part?
You can customize them depending on what your family likes.
- Want extra crunch? Use iceberg lettuce.
- Want something softer and easier to hold? Butter lettuce is elite.
- Want to make it heartier? Add steamed rice.
There’s really no wrong way to do it.
The Secret: Prep Ahead
I’ll be honest—the hardest part of this recipe is the prep.
There’s some:
- Chopping
- Dicing
- Mincing
But here’s the good news:
👉 It can all be done ahead of time.
Sometimes I prep everything the night before so dinner the next day comes together ridiculously fast.
And once the prep is done?
The recipe is super simple.
Basically:
- Sauce in one pan
- Meat in another
- Combine everything
- Try not to eat it straight from the skillet

Butter Lettuce vs Iceberg Lettuce
This is a hot topic in our house 😅
🥬 Butter Lettuce
- Softer
- Easier to fold
- Feels more restaurant-style
🥬 Iceberg Lettuce
- Extra crunch
- More texture
- Great if you like a little bite
Personally?
👉 I love serving these in butter lettuce with steamed rice.
But honestly—you can’t go wrong.
