Looking for a refreshing summer drink? This mint lemonade is a fun twist on a classic that’s incredibly easy to make but tastes like something you’d order at a fancy restaurant. It’s bright, refreshing, and has just the right hint of fresh mint to make it feel a little more special than your average glass of lemonade. Whether you’re hosting a backyard BBQ, hanging out by the pool, or just trying to survive another hot summer afternoon, this drink is a winner.
Lemonade was the summer beverage at my home growing up. Crystal Light was my grandma’s drink of choice and you could always find a pitcher of it at her house.
Lemonade is always sold in stands on the street–I mean who didn’t have at least one lemonade stand growing up? I remember one time someone stopped and didn’t want a drink but gave me $10! Since then I have tried to buy lemonade from anyone selling it.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized lemonade is one of those drinks that’s easy to customize. You can keep it classic, add fresh berries, throw in sparkling water, or, in this case, fresh mint. The mint gives it a cool, crisp flavor that isn’t overpowering—it simply makes every sip taste a little fresher. It’s the kind of drink that has people asking, “What did you put in this?”
I love finding fun new recipes, especially when they’re simple enough that anyone can make them. This mint lemonade was an instant hit with our family and quickly earned a permanent spot in our summer recipe rotation. It’s one of those recipes you’ll find yourself making again and again because it’s easy, refreshing, and always disappears fast. If you’re looking for a new favorite summer drink, give this one a try. I think you’ll love it as much as we do.
