Fall weather means I pull out the sweaters and eat soup on a regular basis. There is something about cuddling up with a comfortable blanket, eating a bowl of soup, and watching trashy TV that makes days so much better. That’s why I am sharing with you my top five simple soup recipes everyone will love and even dad can make.
I am a fan of homemade soup. Homemade soup is better than anything you can get from a can, but it’s always used to intimidate me. Growing up, if I had homemade soup at a friends house, I assumed their parent had attended culinary school. But that is not the case. Anyone can make these simple soup recipes you’ll have them all the time.

- Fresh Tomato Basil Soup – If you were to ask me years ago to have some tomato soup I would have said no way. Tomato soup was disgusting to me, until my wife made this tomato basil soup. A bowl of this and a grilled cheese sandwich is what rainy days dreams are made of.

- Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana – We aren’t huge fans of going to Olive Garden, but when we do I always get the soup and salad. And the soup I get is Zuppa Toscana. So when I found the recipe for a slow-cooker version I knew my life was going to be changed forever. It’s so easy and tastes just like Olive Garden.
