I love reading! I read about 8-10 books a month and so I have a few things to say about the books I’ve read. Here is my collection of favorites from 2025. Do you agree? What would you add?
Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
This was my favorite read of the year! I’ve never read anything like it. Joan Goodwin has been obsessed with the stars for as long as she can remember. When she comes across an advertisement inviting women to join NASA’s space shuttle program, her life could change. It is literally her dream come true.
Read how she managed to enter this unique career and the relationships/connections she makes in the process. It will make wonder, believe, and hope for better things to come. She follows her dreams and sees God in the largest of places. I read this one three times this year and recommended it to everyone! I gave this one 5 stars.
The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion by Beth Brower
This is one of my favorite reads of the year! Emma Lion has quickly become one of my favorite people. She brings laughter and joy to the most tragic of circumstances. It is a story of friendship and connection. It will leave you laughing and crying. I feel like I just joined a friendship club and want to be right in the action with Emma and her friends.
I finished the physical books and then in August she released the audible version of books 1-8. There will be more books in the series (24 total) but only the first eight are available right now. I’m hopeful they’ll come out quick! If you’re looking for a good investment and an instant friendship, you have to purchase the whole series.
First Time Caller by B.K. Borison
This cute Rom-com book gave me total Sleepless in Seattle vibes. A 12 year old girl calls into a radio show looking to help her mom find love. Little did she know the process would be just what her mom needed. It is charming, you’ll love the characters! It is one of those books that you are hoping for the predictable ending the entire book. It is a happy, predictable rom-com that will leave you wanting more just like it. I gave it 5 STARS.
The Correspondent by Virginia Evans
This book reminded me so much of my cute grandma, the queen of letter writing. Sybil Van Antwerp has used letter writing to make sense of the world and her place in it. Most mornings at half past ten she sits and writes letters. I love learning about her past and watching her impact on people in her present. When forced to examine one of the most painful moments of her life because of one of these letters, she discovers the need to forgive and heal. You will love her character and her delightful look at life. You may even write a letter or two. The book is amazing but this is a great audio book! 5 STARS
It’s a Love Story by Annabel Monaghan
If you love a classic love story then you’ll love this book! Jane, a struggling artist is trying to land her first movie to produce. The most unexpected thing happens as she pursues the film, she falls in love. It is the perfect love story, clean, funny, filled with the best meet cute, and the happiest ending. If you’ve lost your hope on love, this book might just be enough to bring it back. You’ll finish it and immediately start it again! Really any book by this author will leave you high on love and happy endings.
