With the leaves changing so quickly, why not bring that beauty into the house. The only thing is, since I am not a fan of bugs or the outdoors I thought, why not create my own leaves?
First, I cut some fun oak looking leaves out of fun autumn colored cardstock. These can be cut out with punches, a Cricut machine, or like I did with a di-cut.
Then, pull out your sewing machine, and feed each leaf in one at a time. The thread will continue to sew and make the perfect string of leaves.
And finally, take your garland and hang it anywhere you want: entryway, hang on your chandelier, across your mantel, or over your windows. Whatever you do, everyone that sees them will think it’s the cutest idea ever and wonder where you thought of it, Pinterest? Or you can proudly say, The Modern Dad.
