If you know me, you know I love shopping! I love finding a great piece that will work through multiple seasons and with multiple outfits. When I went to New York I found some pieces I’ve been wanting for awhile that made me so excited for summer, but sometimes it’s hard to know how to dress. How casual is too causal, how dressy is too dressy, especially for a summer event. I tend to dress on the more dressy side if I don’t know what the vibe is. Summer can be easy to just stay in workout clothes all day, but if you have some great pieces in your closet it will help you avoid the burnout of picking clothes every day.
The Shoes
First the shoes are the most important part, they set the tone for the outfit. You can wear sneakers and still have it look nice! Here are some of my favorite shoes, yes most of them are white, but there is nothing wrong with all white shoes.

Tops
I love Ralph Lauren and a good polo, if you are ever on the fence for what to wear, a polo always elevates a look. I also got this one in New York and love it!

Bottoms
I found these new shorts and have been living in them, they are so comfy and look great!
Everyone needs a pleated short in their closet. I don’t always reach for these, but these are a great staple to have in your closet.
If you find yourself having a chill day where you don’t need to go anywhere these Alo shorts are some of my favorite lounging around shorts.
If you haven’t tried Quince, you need to! These pants are great for a cool summer evening.
Accessories
Don’t get me wrong with the word accessories, they aren’t just for women. A good hat, a great watch, can really elevate a look.
