Trying to find new and fun ways for my kids to eat more than garbage is not as easy as I thought it would be. Thank goodness for Pinterest and the billion ideas that are shared on there. That’s exactly where I found this recipe for simple homemade pizza pockets.
We love pizza around our house! Maybe a Little Caesars deep dish every night for dinner isn’t the best option for growing little kids. But what is better for them and easy for me to make? Well, these simple pizza pockets are definitely not the worst thing they could be eating, and they are so easy to make.
Here are things to grab from the store: string cheese, croissants, pizza sauce and pepperoni. Then head to the kitchen with the kids and win these pizza pockets right up.
Cut your string cheese in half and put it and the pepperonis on the crescent rolls. This is something the little ones can help with because it’s super easy and it’s not about perfection.
Once they ready, roll them up like you normally do with crescent rolls. Try to keep the cheese and pepperoni in the roll, so fold it so that it’s not exposed.
Place in oven, bake as usual and then you serve them with a bowl of pizza sauce for dipping in. My son loves dipping anything and when he can dip something he always eats the entire meal prepared.
I’m not kidding when I say your kids will love these because if you’re like me you will love them too and might need to make two packs.
