IG REVIEW OCTOBER 5-9

This week we’ve got some of our favorites, some new things we tried and of course some lip singing. So let’s jump right in to everything we did this week.

Posts

Apparently, I’m NOT cut out for the mukbang lifestyle.

I decided to give the viral Chili’s Triple Dipper a try, mukbang style, and let’s just say…we learned a few things.

First of all, having a deviated septum means I already sound like I’m fighting for my life just trying to breathe while eating.

SECOND, the sound of my own chewing was driving ME crazy. HOW DO PEOPLE DO THIS?!

But can we talk about the FOOD?! Because I get the hype. That Triple Dipper was GOOD. Like, I’m already thinking about when I can go back good.

Now I need TWO things from you:

What food or restaurant should I try next? Because apparently we’re doing food reviews now.

Are you TEAM MUKBANG and love watching people eat, or are you TEAM MISOPHONIA and ready to throw your phone across the room the second someone starts chewing?!

I NEED TO KNOW.😂👇

The smell of FALL is officially upon us. 🍎🍂 And by “smell,” I obviously mean it’s time to get back in the kitchen and start making all the fall treats.

I recently saw the idea for a simple twice-baked apple pie and immediately knew I needed to try it. So I ran to my nearest Smith’s Grocery, grabbed a apple pie, scooped the whole thing into a casserole dish, added a simple homemade crumble on top, and baked it at 350 until warm, golden and bubbly.

THAT’S IT.

Smith’s did basically all the work, but I get to take the credit for serving a warm, homemade-ish apple dessert that tastes like I spent all afternoon making it. 😂

Serve it warm, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and welcome to fall, my friends. 🍎🥧🍨

Sometimes the best recipes are the ones where you work smarter, not harder. 🙌🏻

“They probably do collect ashtrays…but I doubt they collect art.”

Growing up adopted, “Maybe” from Annie always hit a little differently.

When you don’t know who your birth parents are, you get to make them up in your head. Apparently at one point I decided I was the love child of Shania Twain and Tim McGraw–which honestly felt reasonable.

Then I grew up, took a DNA test, and some of those “maybes” finally got answers.

And sometimes…maybe is a litter easier than knowing.

Some of what I learned was fascinating. Some was painful. And some made me even more certain about the family I already had. My parents didn’t know where I’d come from–they just knew they wanted to be part of where I was going. 💓

And THAT is something I’ll never have to wonder about.

If you want the whole, slightly unbelievable adoption story you can read part 1 here and part 2 here.

Any other adoptees out there who grew up creating an entire imaginary back story for their birth parents? I can’t be the only one.

Mowing the lawn again like it’s my full time job before winter sets in and I love these headphones so much. I love them for working out, yard work and anytime I foresee myself sweating. And you can use my code moderndad at checkout for a discount.

I almost forgot to show my Licorice order this week before I ate it all. I’m a huge black licorice fan and this is the best stuff out there. I got the Sweet Assorts and the Crunchies and they are both so good, I finished them in four days! 😮

I have done Peptides for about a year and I LOVE them! I go to G.O.A.T. to get them done. If  you want to read up on them click here to find out the best ones for you. And you can always use my code moderndad for a discount.

Now I’ve got to know are you into these mukbang videos? Do you want to see more? Or was one enough, or too much 😂 I love trying new things so let me know in the comments below if you have something I need to try!
