J Crew Activewear? Yes Please!

I can’t tell you the exact day I fell in love with J Crew. Honestly, I have loved it forever. So when I saw them collaborate with New Balance and put out activewear for men, I had to jump on board. Plus, with all the running and training I am doing, putting some amazing quality pieces in the mix is good. So today I give you, J Crew + New Balance activewear for men.

Before I really got into running, gym shorts were all the same to me. I never really card or noticed a difference. Well, with these workout shorts I was honestly blown away. The comfort and difference were the first things I noticed. Then, when out running, I really started to find things I loved about them:

zippered pockets (love that they zip upwards instead of down)
deep pockets
inner compressive lining
light and airy fabric

All in all, I really fell in love with these shorts. In Utah, the weather isn’t really warm right now, but I felt like these shorts kept me feeling like I was getting good breathability, but also the compressive lining kept me warmer than other shorts I think would do.

When it came to getting a pullover top for those cooler runs, the half-zip pullover seemed perfect. I’ve had pullovers before, but more as like a style piece rather than a outdoor activewear item. This was perfect when running on the mountain tops of Utah where it’s a little cooler than it is in the valley. I love so much about this too:

thumbholes (which I thought I wouldn’t be a fan of, but have come to love them)
stitching that didn’t bother me
super soft fabric
light enough to not make me feel I was overheating, but good enough to keep me warm
amazing color choices
