What are little things that you are doing every single day? Little things that you don’t even think about, but if you were to make a change would make a difference. Lately I have been thinking about the little things that I am doing and hoping that I can make a difference in my life, and in the lives of my children.
Not Looking for Perfection
Look, I am not perfect. I try things in hopes that I can be a better person, but I have never claimed to be perfect. That being said, I think small steps make the biggest difference. Steps like, instead of taking the elevator, I take the stairs. Have you ever thought about parking further away so that you could get more steps in? That’s what I do. What about using a metal straw instead of plastic. Whenever I go somewhere I try to remember to keep my metal straws in Emily’s bag because there is no way I want a paper straw. And of course, I am always packing my lunch in reusable Ziptuck bags that I got from Full Circle Home.
On Step at a Time
Like I said, I’m not perfect at these things, but I am trying. I am trying to see if I can make a difference. Lately, when I go to the grocery store I am taking my own reusable shopping bags. Did you know that each year an estimated 1 trillion plastic bags are consumed worldwide, with billions ending up as litter.
The great thing is, there are things happening in the world that is trying to lower these statistics and I want to be a part of lowering it. This is just one of many things that I want to do to make a difference in what I am doing.
How Can We Change?
The plastic bags is one
thing, but there is much more we can do. For me, it’s realizing that there is a
problem and to do everything I can to be better. I know I can make a
difference. These small steps may seem simple now, but in the long run they
will really pay off. And for me, by switching to Full
Circle products I
have been inspired to make these changes.
What things do you think you could do to make a
difference? Metal straws? Reusable plastic bags? Purchasing products that are
made from recycled goods? Anything helps and I want to hear what you are doing.
