Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about growth—how it often means letting go of something good to make room for something new. Between busy schedules, trying to be intentional as a parent, and finding small ways to take care of myself, this season has felt full in the best (and most chaotic) way. From trying new hobbies to finding meaningful gifts and simple everyday wins, I wanted to share a few things that have been making life a little easier and a lot more fun lately.

I love singing, I’ve loved taking lessons, doing something for myself, and showing my kids you can do hard things and follow your dreams, but it is time to try something new. It’s so important to keep trying new things and finding ways to better ourselves. If I had stopped then I would have never found Mahjong. So this isn’t the end of singing, just making space for more things.

This has been such a hard thing to share, but I’ve been glad I shared it because your past doesn’t define you, you don’t have to carry what isn’t yours, and you get to choose who you become. I hope that I can pass that along to my kids and celebrate who they are.

When Emily and I went and got our massages they did a scalp check to see how healthy our scalps were and they were shocked at how healthy my scalp is. I’m reminding myself that growth often comes from change, and sometimes the best things come from being willing to try something new.
