Year after year we slave in the kitchen making adorable treats for Santa to eat. We spend hours decorating these sugar cookies with frosting and candies, but have we ever thought about Santa and his likes? Have you ever thought of asking him what his favorite cookie is? What if he doesn’t even like sugar cookies frosted and covered in candy? Have I got a solution for you.
Making gingerbread cookies, as I like to call them, but really they are just molasses cookies/ginger snaps, are absolutely delicious and can be just as festive to make this time of year. What I love about making these are the smells that fill my home. The smell of cinnamon and ginger filling my home always makes me think of Christmas and the holiday season.
So when you are trying to decide on that perfect treat to leave the big man in red, maybe think outside the sugary sweet treat and leave him a plate of these amazing gingerbread cookies. I am absolutely certain he will thank you for it one day.
